This morning we met with Elaine Hansen at The Austin Area Chamber of Commerce. The Austin Area Chamber was established in 1940. Their role is to help strengthen the business community and to serve their members by helping to build, promote, and advocate for businesses. She shared about some of the new leave regulations that are happening and how this can impact businesses. This is something that students need to be aware of as they consider costs as a business owner. Elaine asked our students many great questions that got them thinking about their products and how to sell and get more involved in the community. They have a variety of ways they connect to the community beyond business through different events and opportunities.
