Dr. Carolyn Dube met with us on Monday morning. She works as an instructional architect for Capella University, serves as the Board Chair on the Austin Public Schools School Board and works with the Austin Public Education Foundation. Additionally she has been a mentor for many years. She shared about the many turns her career has taken before arriving back in her hometown of Austin.
Carolyn has been working at least partially remotely for the past thirteen years. She shared about balance with work and life and how important this is when seeking new opportunities. At times she has had to say no to things, but maintains that balance is the most important thing to her.
It was interesting to learn about the different factors that she considered when setting up her home office space in order for her to be successful working from home. Carolyn gave great tips on organizing your time which will be incredibly helpful as they approach spring and their personal business.
