This morning we visited Akkerman in Brownsdale. Akkerman was founded in 1973 by D.H.Akkerman and is now in it’s third generation in the family. They produce equipment used for guided boring, microtunneling pipe jacking, sliplining, and tunneling solutions. The equipment they build and sell is engineered and manufactured at the corporate headquarters in Brownsdale, MN. They currently employ around 80 full time employees.

Their key to success is producing a long lasting product, offering service and support, having a knowledgeable staff, having roots that are based in contracting allowing them to relate to customers, and being driven for customer success. It is amazing to see the operation they have in Brownsdale! Thank you for welcoming us out this morning and continuing to invest in the program!
