Pat Wagner from Joseph Company met with us this morning at the Paramount Theater. It is always great to see the locations that their company builds and be onsite. The company was started in 1965 by his grandpa and continued as a family run business. Pat is an AHS graduate, which is great for our students to see his connections and what brought him back to town.

Some great insights shared were:

👷‍♂️There are many risks with the cost of projects
👷‍♂️Safety of employees is critical
👷‍♂️Subcontractors collaborating helps to get numbers as close as possible
👷‍♂️Profit is a function of risk
👷‍♂️Know your market and know your people
👷‍♂️Understanding basics of business operations is important no matter what career field you choose

We appreciate The Joseph Company and their continued commitment to the CEO Program. It was a great morning visiting with Pat!
