This morning we met with Scott Fox at Fox Electric and The B and J. Fox Electric is a 3rd generation business which was stated in 1967 by Scott’s grandpa, it was then purchased by his dad, and Scott took over in 2007. They currently have about 25-30 people on staff and are very diversified in the services they offer. Students were able to able to take a turn at riding in the scissor lift, learned about electrical testing, and practiced conduit bending. It was great seeing how the job works! Scott also gave us a tour behind the scenes at The B and J which he purchased in 2014 with his father. This business has been around since about 1961 and has continued to grow over the years!
He left the student with some advice:
1. Surround yourself with good people and give them the authority to do their jobs.
2. Be good at what you do and let others do what they are good at as well.
