This morning students met with Cindy Meany and Amanda Barber at The Hormel Home. We are very lucky that they have been able to accommodate us as a home base over the years and again this year. They shared about the non-profit status and how they serve the community. Their mission is to preserve the history of the home and share it with the public. They have events, educational activities, and much more at The Hormel Home. They shared about then many supports they offer to the community and highlighted their Autism programming that has grown tremendously over the years. It was fun to see all the history as we toured the home as well. From being the family home to a YWCA to the current museum, the home has continued to be a strong part of the Austin community and our history. Thank you for being part of our program and our home base! Austin Public Schools Pacelli Catholic Schools
