This morning we met with Sunny and “The Ice Cream Man” from Sunny’s Ice Cream and Mexican Food to hear about their journey in the food truck business. They have had their business for 12 years. He bought his first ice cream truck from a junk yard and has grown to three trucks, a concession stand, and now a food truck. Sunny was nine years old when his dad started selling ice cream and part of that journey was to get Sunny more comfortable talking and interacting. They now serve 28 communities and are the number one buyer from Blue Bunny. “The Ice Cream Man” started working at QPP became a supervisor by the age of 23. He emphasized that you always need to learn and that will help you grow.
His advice:
- Do you business with honesty
- Commit yourself to what you want to do.
- If you know more, then you value more
- Always try to learn more and more
- Failure is the key to success - don’t worry if you fail! Keep trying again and again!
