This morning we were able to tour our amazing YMCA at ACRC with Diane Baker and Miranda Camry. We were able to see all parts of the facility and what it has to offer to our community. There are many areas that are currently restricted with Covid, but they have been doing their best to allow as much use as possible. In addition to the exercise aspect, we also learned about the childcare, preschool, and teen center areas. The YMCA at ACRC focuses on building social interactions and movement with their members. They clearly have a very passionate staff and this shows in the way the organization is run. Diane recognized that during Covid it has been a challenge to keep up with cleaning, but it is critical for them to operate and keep their members safe. Additionally they have had to shift their operations many times to follow state guidelines, but have continued offering online classes and pivoting throughout to meet member needs. During our tour, Todd Dube shared about his experience as lifeguard and how remembering someone’s name, showing you appreciate them, and welcoming them is a big part of being successful. He also shared that networking, connecting, and communicating is the key to succeeding in any business. Thank you so much for a great morning! Check out the YMCA at ACRC!
